Overview

Alamida is a fleet management app built by Alamida Systems to help you manage transport operations with confidence.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and how we keep it safe. It applies whenever you use the Alamida app or any related service.

Information we collect

When you create and use an Alamida account, we collect:

  • Username
  • Encrypted password

How we use your information

  • To provide transport control services and maintain quality
  • To share useful and relevant information with you
  • To fulfil our contractual obligations to you
  • Where otherwise required by law

We also use your information to answer questions about your account and assist with troubleshooting. We may use it for internal purposes too, such as auditing, data analysis, and research to improve our products, services, and communications.

How we store and protect your information

We use physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information while it is under our control. Even with these safeguards, we cannot guarantee that your information will never be lost, misused, or altered.

We retain information only for as long as we have a legitimate business need, or as applicable laws, regulations, or government orders require. When we dispose of personal information, we use reasonable procedures designed to erase or render it unreadable, such as shredding documents and wiping electronic media.

When we share your information

  • We do not sell, license, rent, or otherwise provide your personal information to unaffiliated third parties to market their services or products to you without your consent.
  • We may disclose personal information about you to third parties with your consent.
  • We may disclose information about an account user to the primary account holder.
  • We may disclose information to third-party vendors and partners who complete transactions or perform services on our behalf.
  • We may sell, disclose, or transfer information about you as part of a corporate business transaction.
  • We may disclose personal information where we have a good-faith belief that it is necessary to comply with the law, resolve disputes, or protect our users.

Using the Alamida mobile app

You're responsible for the security of your mobile device, and for making sure no unauthorised person can access your device or your Alamida login details.

Data you provide is only disclosed to third parties as permitted by Ugandan law.

You have rights under the Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Uganda, including the right to access and correct your data.

If your data is ever lost or compromised, please inform Alamida immediately.

Updates and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the effective date at the top of this page, and we'll communicate material changes in advance.
